Welsh Language Class
Beginning in 2005, the Society has sponsored a series of Welsh Language Classes. These classes have been given in 12-week series two times a year and are taught by Rhob Evans, a biochemist who has been on faculty at the University of Pittsburgh since 1985. Rhob was born in Aberystwyth, Wales, and is fluent in both Welsh (his first language) and English. He and his wife Liz (also Welsh), along with their four children and three Welsh Corgis, all live in the Pittsburgh area.
This class was featured in an article on the BBC website.
The Spring 2023 courses are in planning! Classes typically begin in mid-March and run weekly from 7-8:30 PM. We will meet in the University of Pittsburgh’s Cathedral of Learning. Interested learners are encouraged to get in touch. Further details will be posted here and at our Facebook page as available.
